Love in a Backyard

Hey again! So, on the final day of August, after a morning and afternoon of storms cleared just in time, I went to Homer Glen, Illinois, to photograph the beautiful  wedding of Lynn and Tom at the home that they share together. Tom and Lynn have spent so much time making the backyard and deck look gorgeous and festive, from the eco-chic bamboo servingware to the glittering disco ball above the wooden bar.  After a heartfelt ceremony in the gazebo, guests mingled and toasted the happy couple, and when the sun went down, the live band started up, and it felt like the party was just beginning!

I’m so grateful that Tom and Lynn entrusted me with the photos of their special day, and their guests were incredibly warm and relaxed. I have so many shots that I love, but I’ve put a few of my faves in the gallery that follows. Thanks for checking them out, and let me know how Maggie Paige Photography can document a special moment for you.

The Gang’s All Here…

Hi there! I’m back after a bit of a start-of-the-school-year whirlwind, filled with new students and a brand new class and lots of writing and reading and grading and all that jazz. It’s already Homecoming next week–fall is here!

I was lucky enough to photograph Chris and Chuck–two of my parents’ closest friends–and their chidlren and grandchildren. Fifteen people, including five kids ages 4 months to 11 years old , met at gorgeous Morton Arboretum, where Chuck volunteers on a daily basis. Getting fifteen people organized and grinning at the camera at the same time is always a fun challenge, and this group was super good-natured and up for trying different locales around the park. I’m so glad they gave me the opportunity to spend a a late summer evening in such a beautiful place! A few of my favorite shots are included below.

Up next: Maggie Paige Photography’s first wedding! Woot woo! Stay tuned…

Sneak peek!

Hi there! Forgive me for being away for a bit; between the full-time job and the photo jobs, I’ve been busy and not as good of a blog updater as I should be. As I work on finishing photo sets for a 15-person-family, a wedding, and a newborn shoot, enjoy this just-too-cute picture of 2-week-old Chase, the son of my dear friend Carey and her husband Erik. I mean…look at this adorable guy! Too. Sweet.

More soon! Have a great week.
